Whaler Marks 60th Anniversary with New Montauk Editions

Boston Whaler is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion the company is releasing modern-day editions of its classic Montauk design.

Both the new 150 and 170 Montauk feature a precision-engineered hull to deliver a soft, safe, dry ride. They also make great yacht tenders and are equipped with Mercury engines.

Anglers can choose from several options to customize the 150 or 170 Montauk. The optional fishing package adds a compass, a 36-quart or 72-quart cooler seat with cushion and backrest, console-mounted rod holders and tackle drawers.

Also available are Raymarine electronics packages — including RealVision 3D technology — which enhance fish finding and navigation capabilities.

The 170 Montauk also has an integrated 25-gallon fuel tank and an integrated forward fish box with overboard drainage.

The 150 and 170 Montauk are both available with a teak package that includes teak boarding steps, the 170 is also available with swim ladder flooring, lending a stylish “vintage” flair.

For model year 2018, the boats will also feature a custom 60th Anniversary badge. The new 150 and 170 each include a standard galvanized trailer with swing tongue, disc breaks and LED lights.
